HLI sponsors International Hospital Federation’s Young Emerging Leaders Alumni Network in 2025

HLI sponsors IHF Young Emerging Leaders Alumni Network in 2025
The Healthcare Leadership Institute (HLI) has entered into an agreement with International Hospital Federation to sponsor the IHF Young Executive Leaders (YEL) Alumni Network in 2025.
The annual IHF YEL programme strengthens global leadership capacity, networking, and information exchange among emerging executives in the healthcare sector. It also creates a voice for the next generation of healthcare leaders. Graduates from the programme join the YEL Alumni Network, which provides a forum for lifelong learning, collaboration, and networking with peers from the programme.
The YEL Alumni Network now includes over 200 rising hospital and healthcare leaders worldwide. The Alumni actively engage in all the IHF’s programmes and events, championing excellence in healthcare leadership in their health systems and across regions. In the YEL curriculum, Alumni representatives deliver a masterclass and part of the full-day workshop which conclude the programme each year. Alumni also feature as speakers at the annual IHF World Hospital Congress, act as members of steering committees for activities such as the IHF Awards and the i-to-i Innovation Hub, and share their expertise as members of special interest groups. Volunteers in the network also act as Alumni Ambassadors to share information, promote the programme, stimulate discussion, and be available to peers for questions.
In 2025, the IHF is proud to welcome the sponsorship of HLI, a global leader in improving leadership, engagement, culture, and performance in healthcare. Together, they will launch a pilot career advancement programme for volunteer members of the YEL Alumni Network. Through this initiative, HLI will provide a structured platform where emerging executives can share common challenges, collaborate on best practices, and develop strategies to navigate their current and future roles. Leveraging multiple formats, including executive and group coaching, HLI aims to foster growth, strengthen leadership capabilities, and empower participants to make a lasting impact in their organizations and beyond.
Our CEO, Mo Kasti, shared his enthusiasm for the impact and transformation that excellence in healthcare leadership can drive:
“At the Healthcare Leadership Institute (HLI), we believe that the future of healthcare hinges on the strength of the next generation of leaders. As the leading institution in developing healthcare leaders, our mission is to transform healthcare through uncommon leadership and coaching. We are excited about our partnership with the IHF to sponsor the Young Executive Leaders (YEL) Alumni Network in 2025 which perfectly aligns with this mission. Together, we aim to nurture and empower emerging healthcare executives, equipping them with the skills and connections they need to shape a healthier, brighter future for all. Leadership knows no borders, and this initiative reflects our commitment to fostering global excellence in healthcare leadership.”
Ronald Lavater, CEO of the IHF, expressed the importance and contribution of the YEL Alumni Network:
“Over the past five years, the IHF has grown the YEL programme into an internationally renowned development opportunity for emerging hospital and healthcare leaders. One of the most rewarding and inspiring aspects of the programme is the value that the Alumni network offers to graduates. Their commitment to collaborating and supporting each other as they make an impact that is shaping the future of our sector is a great asset to the IHF. We take pride in celebrating their achievements and witnessing their careers reach new heights.”
