A Letter From our Founder, Mo Kasti – Summer 2018

Hello Friends,
I trust you had a relaxing and enjoyable 4th of July.
I love this holiday tradition as it gives us pause from our fast-paced daily lives to reflect on what matters most and express gratitude for the freedom and independence we have as a country and a society. I take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to men and women that dedicated their lives to protect our freedom.
I had the opportunity during this summer break to visit Europe with my family and to experience the rich history and renaissance era up close. I learned how the renaissance was a turning point in medicine, where innovators such as DiVinci mapped the human anatomy, where the first microscope was invented and the first medical school was established in Bologna.
This is the period in history where, in addition to trust being placed in God’s hands, the doctor either worked as or replaced the priest.
One painting in particular that resonated with me was of a doctor with a sick child (patient). It reflected the sacred moments we are all blessed and privileged to be part of in healthcare.
We can see a lot in this painting. We can see compassion, dedication, trust, faith, fear (on the parent’s face). We can even see affordability in home care!
I would love to hear what you see in this painting and what it means to you. Contact Mo Kasti online or email mkasti@ctileadership.com to share your thoughts with me.

I am excited in this newsletter to share with you conversations with key leaders. This time my conversation was with Dr. Rai, the CEO of Prevea Health and the Chair of AMGA. We discussed focus, leadership, engagement, and burnout prevention.
Thank you for what your do every day and we are privileged to be part of your dedication to compassionate care.
