Sharing Gold – Creating Win/Win Situation

Both high jumpers were perfect until the bar was set to the Olympic-record height of 2.39m (seven feet, 10 inches). Each missed three times then instead of going to a jump-off, they decided to share the gold.
Imagine when we all have similar attitude of generosity, respect, and love for each other and even for our competitors, how much better the world would be!!
In life and in leadership, this act of generosity is a reminder to all of us of the following lessons :
- Know when to stop: Each player missed three times then instead of going to a jump-off, they decided to stop and share the gold.
- Sharing is caring: The old saying our parents used to instill in us: “Sharing is caring”.
- You can always create win/win: No matter what is the situation, we can always find a win/win situation if we try hard and are committed to it.
