As Chief Operations Officer at HLI, an Inc. 5000 company, Rana is responsible for the global operations of the company. With a track record of executing actionable strategies and delivering transformative and award-winning results through financial and operational rigor, and innovative problem-solving abilities, Rana oversees HLI’s human resources, daily operations, financial performance, and continuous improvement functions. 

Rana is also the Chief Financial Officer of Virtual Health Services, a global virtual assistance services company focused on supporting leaders and physicians in healthcare by removing hassle factors such as documentation and administrative burden.

Her experience and leadership have been focused on ensuring client satisfaction through leading the operations and client management team and the effective management of resources to ensure the flawless execution and fulfillment of commitments to our physicians and clients, and providing a great experience in HLIs Fellowships and Academies.  

Previously, Rana was a manager with the CTI Innovation Institute, where she coordinated a multi-million university-wide Neuroscience Collaborative (NSC) with the mission to accelerate progress in USF neuroscience research through cooperation among faculty from across USF and with the university’s various partners.

Rana has held several positions in various settings including academia, the United Nations, and IT companies. She has extensive experiences in operations and execution. Her previous work included research, developing marketing campaigns, organizing and coordinating educational events and health campaigns, managing department budgeting and finance, and improving customer satisfaction.

Rana is passionate about helping leaders, teams, and organizations accelerate their success through life and  career through leadership coaching. Her dedication is to helping professionals, especially women leaders, accomplish more through work/life balance strategies, clarity of purpose and role and engaging others through coaching. Rana is a graduate of the Leadership Coaching Certificate program at Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership. She is also an Everything DiSC®  Certified Practitioner.  

Rana holds a Master’s in Political Studies from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of South Florida.

As a mother of two wonderful young men, and wife of a busy executive, as well as being an executive herself, balancing work/life is an essential daily practice. Fluent in four languages, she enjoys working out, traveling and gourmet cooking.
